You can join the club by buying your £35 membership from YorkSu. If you're interested in joining a course, drop us an email at skydiving@yorksu.org and we'll get jumping as soon as possible!

Skydiving at university is the cheapest and most accessible way into the sport as members can benefit from our cheaper jump tickets:

  • Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Groundschool and level 1 (first jump only): £325
  • For a full breakdown of prices, please refer to our courses page

We currently jump at Skydive Hibaldstow in North Lincolnshire, approximately 50 miles from York. You can read more about the dropzone and how you get there via our Dropzone page. Travel costs are included in the groundschool weekends.

Solo skydiver complete a “Ground School” day in which they receive training to jump from an aircraft - solo! We are planning on running multiple ground school weekends in the Autumn term. These are always great fun for both our new and returning jumpers, with many skydiving and non-skydiving related activities planned! Check out the courses page to find our latest dates.

The course takes two days but we travel to the centre Friday evening. If the weather is good enough you will do your first jumps that very weekend.
